Dr. Mike, a fourth-generation Tajikistani barber, brought his expertise to NYC’s East Village over 25 years ago, establishing a beloved community barbershop. Alongside him is his brother Misha, the shop’s rising talent, known for his modern styles and innovative approach. Together, their unique blend of tradition and trendsetting flair has made their shop a cornerstone of the neighborhood, where clients trust in their skill and personalized service.

Barbershop Legacy
Owner Daniel “Dr. Mike” Kikirov is a fourth-generation barber from Tajikistan, formerly part of the Soviet Union. He comes from a long line of barbers, including his father, grandfather, and maternal relatives. East 6th Street Barbershop is built on this legacy and the traditions of his homeland.
